Re: They're on their way to Disney!

Ah- - - Shirley, that is just the sweetest photo we have seen in a long time. The littles are always so cute. Such fun shirts, aren’t you happy?

Re: Gift/stadium bag turned to project bag

Kathy, thank you for the suggestion on gauge. As it was, in JoAnns I could not find the gauge. But, I did find a rack with 5 different vinyls, and brought home the heaviest. Which I hope will sew up just fine. I will test it out on a small bag with a zip to make sure it sews ok. I will not be able t...

Re: Gift/stadium bag turned to project bag

Thank you,Nonie and Shirley. I used a 14/90 needle, new, and just a very common brand. I had to unstitch some of it, and restitch in the same area, and it is fine. With my Janome 15000, it sewed like butter, perhaps because I went not too fast, and didn’t need the Teflon foot. I will buy some clear ...

Gift/stadium bag turned to project bag

Good Sunday morning. I got so tired of the giving quilts and potholders etc for RAGBRAI hosts, I decided to experiment with a stadium bag for DIL for her 50th….it is now a gift bag filled with green tip money! My biggest mistake was when I started….the vinyl is a bit more brittle, but I let the cler...

Re: KingStar Metallic Thread!

Shirley, have you thought to surprise him with a shower towel. You know the one that has elastic in the waist and it raps around. Yes, I love the Kingstar thread, but it was so hard to find around Iowa.

Re: Welcome to a new place to share.

I haven’t been in Betty’s store for years. I always enjoyed going in there to see all the garment fabric, which thus far north we just do not have. After I grew to know Betty on the forum it was always fun to drool over her little garments. I think the owners son was preparing to take over the store...

Re: Winnie the Pooh

Karen, I did get the entire set….I remembered I had a coupon as first time subscriber to the newsletter for 15% off. Hope there is some interest in Winnie the Pooh at craft shows. My babies had Winnie in their nursery…so may have to do something for fun for them. I can just hear the musical mobile r...

Re: Winnie the Pooh

I am trying to decide whether I want a couple or the whole set. I have a friend who is my age and left our church and community in the last century…she would be surprised to get a Winnie mug rug or towel from me….just cause I remember she loved Winnie the Poo.

Thanks for the info!
