Nonie, the ITH designs I have from her came with a pdf tutorial. It's probably on your computer somewhere. I download mine in Embird so I can find them.

Is that an area where the design starts and ties off in the same place? Possibly have 3 different threads from the different parts starting and ending in the same spot? IMO, it's poor digitizing, but many do it. Sometimes I pull it off the machine, and trim as much thread as I can underneath. It loo...

Nonie, the majority of the appliqués I’ve done were on knit shirts, and I don’t use a bigger needle because it would leave holes in the shirt. I’ve tried the stretch needles that some say to use on knits, but I didn’t see any difference. JMO

Linda, I was referring to machine embroidery, but when I’ve done appliqué using the sewing machine, I still used the 75/11 embroidery machine needle and 40 wt embroidery thread.
