Magic cookie Bars

Post by nonie »

Now that you have made the fudge bars, it is time to make the magic cookie bars. Christmas would not be the same around here if I didn't make these.

1/2 cup (i stick) butter
1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 can eagle brand condensed milk (not evaporated)
2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 (325 for glass, I use a glass 13x9 inch pan) melt butter in pan
sprinkle crumbs over melted butter in pan
pour condensed milk over top of crumbs top with remaining ingredients press down firmly with back of fork. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool cut into bars.

These were always among my Christmas goodies! But I haven’t made them in years. They are sooo good.

Both my mom and John's mom made these. Love them! I haven't made them in years either. Now just reading about them is likely to cause me to gain weight!
